The principle is simple right?… But as a small business owner, it can be easier said than done!
I am a small business owner, I have been there and filled my cup with so many tasks that I have burnt myself out more than once, trying to do everything in the hopes of saving money. All I have achieved during my growth period was chasing my tail while causing unnecessary stress and losing money in time spent trying to figure out how to do everything my business needed to succeed.
Over the past 11 years, I have learnt through trial and error that my time is better spent on the things I am great at like my creative strengths and communication skills, and things like administration and accounting are better left to those who specialise in those areas.
Yeah, I hate spending that money on things I know I could have muddled through myself BUT I know that if I wanted to succeed I needed to be able to focus and work to my strengths so that my business could flourish.
What’s the saying… A Jill (Jack) of all trades is a master of none!!
The same rules apply to digital marketing! By hiring an industry specialist who cares about your success you can focus on your strengths whether it’s making, designing or selling, you will allow your business to develop in the #rightway, so your business looks and feels authentic, professional and relevant to your target audience without costing you your sanity!
Audiences have a 3 second attention span so our first impression is what leads us to engage or disengage with a product and or service. This means that we as business owners or digital marketers have to be strategic about the foundation we lay to encourage customers to take their first steps in their buyer’s journey! Like meeting a person for the first time our ‘visual business impression’ is hugely important in showcasing our businesses to our best advantage.
If potential clients do not see what they like or expect, they will not engage. We want them to engage, to be interested, to want to learn more and be consciously and subconsciously impressed by what we/you have to offer!
So work to your strengths!
